We offer an assortment of extruders sized from 3/4" to 3 1/2" in diameter. All models are manufactured in Fullerton, CA, and include Koellmann helical gearboxes and Wexco lined barrels. Following is a listing of our standard extruders. Please contact the factory for further information.

Belt & Tire Pullers

We offer an assortment of pullers sized for the extrusion of micro tubing up to 8" diameter pipe, with tire, wheel and belt configurations. Our belt pullers for profile range from 2" wide x 15" contact length up to 6" wide x 32" contact length. All models typically have AC Vector motors for brushless operation and are manufactured in Fullerton, Ca. Please contact the factory for additional information.

Tire & Wheel

Model AB-40 4" maximum opening, four wheel puller. Typically used for small profile, tubing, and pipe. Our most economical tire/wheel puller.
Model 400 4" maximum opening, four tire puller. Pneumatic tires enable greater gripping capability over our AB-40 and allow for enhanced traction of rigid pipe extrusion. Manual handwheel control of top and bottom tire banks.

Model 450 4" maximum opening, four tire puller with manual adjustment of top tire bank and independent air cylinder control of bottom tire bank. Similar to our Model 400 but allows for a more measured pressure on the extrudate utilizing the adjustable air bank controls.
Model 872 8" maximum opening, four tire puller with air cylinder control of top and bottom tire banks. All four wheels gear driven. Top wheels manually adjustable. Bottom wheels air loaded independently for measured pressure on extrudate.

Belt

Model PV200 0-2" capacity opening, 2" wide belts, 15" contact length puller with air cylinder control of bottom belt. Top belt manually adjusted via handwheel. Bottom belt air loaded via single air cylinder for measured pressure on extrudate. Ideal for small tubing and profile.

Bottom belt air loaded via single air cylinder for measured pressure on extrudate. Ideal for use with large profiles requiring vacuum processing for part sizing and stability.

Puller/Cutter Combination

PV212SPC 0-2" capacity opening, 2" wide belts, 15" contact length puller. Top and bottom belts manually adjusted via single handwheel control. Servo motor and processor for precise puller speed and length count. Servo motor and processor for cutting application coupled to puller frame with hardened slides for ease of cutter movement. No gearboxes or clutches. Blade holder fixtured directly on servo motor shaft. No moving parts to wear or replace. Ideal for small tubing and profile. Digital touch screen micro-processor for input of puller speed and extrudate cut length.

Cutoff Devices

We offer three standard cutoff units for your cutting and parting needs. All with integrated encoder systems for part length accuracy. Our larger pipe and profile saws typically have AC motors for brushless operation. DC servo motors are used on our smaller profile and tubing cutters. We also design and build many custom cutting devices for unique processing requirements. Please contact the factory for additional information.

Traveling Table Saws

Model AB14S Designed primarily for smaller pipe and custom profiles, the Model AB14S can handle pipe up to 4" in diameter and custom shapes up to 2" high x 6" wide. It's capable of 20 cuts/minute at a maximum line speed of 35 ft/minute.

Model AB18D Designed specifically for larger pipe, the Model AB18D can handle up to 6" pipe. It's capable of 10 cuts/minute at a maximum line speed of 25 ft/minute. It has a full 24" of table travel, and an air over oil system for smooth actuation of the cutting and retraction stroke.
Model 212SC The Model 212SC, our smallest servo cutter is perfect for use with medical tubing lines or small profile lines. It's microprocessor based system is highly accurate and provides excellent cut length control. Capable of 400 cuts/minute in on-demand mode, and 1800 cuts/minute in fly knife mode.

Model 214SC The Model 214SC servo cutter has a larger part cutting capacity than the Model 212SC. Also with a microprocessor based system, it too is highly accurate and provides excellent cut length control. Capable of 400 cuts/minute in on-demand mode, and 1800 cuts/minute in fly knife mode.

Water Tanks/Vacuum Systems

Vacuum Calibrators

Keeping your pipe or tubing on size is a very critical aspect of production profitability. We’ve developed a series of highly accurate vacuum calibrators and water baths that enable you to do just that. Our vacuum calibrators range from our smallest model, the JV-2 (up to a 2" maximum pipe size) to our largest model, the JV-6 (up to a 6" maximum pipe size). All vacuum tanks come standard with liquid ring vacuum pumps and are manufactured from stainless steel for years of corrosion free operation.

Water Baths

We offer an array of different styles of water baths for tubing, medical tubing, pipe, profile, and compounding processing requirements. Our water baths can be as simple as a cooling trough on a tubular frame ready to be coupled to your in-house re-circulating/cooling system, to a fully self-contained system with cooling trough, sump tank, re-circulating pump, heat exchanger, and water input agitation system all mounted on a tubular frame ready for hook up to your in-house chilling system for a more precise temperature controlled environment. All our water baths are manufactured from stainless steel for years of corrosion free operation.

Coilers & Winders

We offer various coilers and winders for your processing needs. From the simplistic Model 814M designed for manual coiling of small flexible tubing, to the more exotic Model 200-3 with dual wind up wheels capable of in-line coiling of flexible pipe and tubing. All our coilers and winders can be equipped with optional level winders for a more even wrap of your extrudate. Following is a listing of our standard coilers and winders, all manufactured in Fullerton, CA. We have also designed many custom coilers to suit exact needs. Model 814M 8" wide by 14" diameter "hubless" coil capacity, or single shaft for use with existing spools. Air driven, no electricity required. Speed control manually operated via foot pedal mounted on winder frame. Typically used for small flexible tubing and profile.

Model MS-12 Able to accept up to a 12" wide by 18" diameter spool, the MS-12 winder is primarily used to coil flexible tubing from a relaxed condition (typically from a drum style receptacle that has allowed the extrudate to relax prior to winding). The MS-12 can be considered an in-line winder, as the take-up speed (600 rpm maximum) is sufficient to allow the operator ample time for change over in most extrusion applications. With both the speed and torque functions of the MS-12 being individually controlled, over-tensioning and compression of the extruded flexible tubing is minimized.

Model 200-3 The Model 200-3 pipe coiler has a capacity on the ID adjustable from 20" to 40" with up to a 72" OD. Coil width is adjustable from 4 1/2" to 13". Equipped with dual take up wheels for continuous operation and toed in for smooth wind up on both wheels from one source. Able to coil up to 1 1/2" diameter polyethylene pipe and over 2" diameter hose, it's our largest winder with positive chain driven wheels for maximum torque. The Model 200-3 can be ordered with manually retractable arms, or full pneumatic operation with single valve actuation for quick changeover from one wheel to the other.

Blow-Off Conveyors

The Al-Be Model AB blow-off conveyors are typically used for small tubing, pipe, or profile in cut to length applications. Our standard models range from a 3" wide by 10' long belt to a 6" wide by 16' long belt. All our conveyors come standard with FDA approved belting. Each air nozzle is individually controlled by its own solenoid using much less air than required in a typical accumulative air system. The Model AB conveyors can be coupled with our Al-Be puller/cutter systems or configured to operate with your existing puller/cutter system. All our conveyors are manufactured in Fullerton, CA. Die Heads

Serving the plastics industry for over 50 years, we offer our expertise in the design and manufacturing of pipe, tubing, sheet, profile, and compounding strand dies and tooling. Our experience has allowed us to develop formulaic tables for many different types of plastics and processes. From a simple FPVC tubing die, to a much more complicated multi-cavity RPVC window or siding die, our engineers and technicians can design and if required, help set up and tune in your Al-Be tooling on your equipment in your facility. Pipe and Tubing

Model AB-10 Up to 3/4" pipe or tubing. Typically used for micro-tubing, smaller tubing, and pipe. Manufactured from alloy steel, or for medical use, stainless steel. All flow surfaces are high finish polished and hard chrome plated if required.

Model AB-15 Up to 1 1/2" diameter pipe or tubing. Manufactured from alloy steel or, for medical use, stainless steel. All flow surfaces are high finish polished and hard chrome plated if required.
Model AB-20 Up to 2 1/2" diameter pipe or tubing. Manufactured from alloy steel, or for medical use, stainless steel. All flow surfaces are high finish polished and hard chrome plated if required.
Model AB-24 Up to 6" diameter pipe or tubing. Manufactured from alloy steel. All flow surfaces are high finish polished and hard chrome plated if required.

Sheet

Model ABCH Our sheet die manufacturing capabilities run from as small as 4" wide up to 30" wide. Smaller sheet dies are designed with a coat hanger style center flow restriction to "force" material from the center to the outside edges providing a more even flow pattern. Larger sheet dies are manufactured with a coat hanger style center flow restriction as well as an exit "flex lip" to enhance control of the overall sheet thickness and integrity. Manufactured from alloy steel. All flow surfaces are high finish polished and hard chrome plated if required.

Profile

Custom Complete die heads including gate adapter, adapter plate, and exit plate can be designed and manufactured. Or, we can design and manufacture an adapter and exit plate to match your existing extruder's gate adaptor. We have designed many profile dies for various resins including abs, acrylic, butyrate, fpvc, hdpe, polypropylene, polycarbonate, rpvc, styrene, teflon, tpr, and urethane.

Compounding

Strand We manufacture strand dies from as small as 4 holes for laboratory use, to as large as 70 holes for commercial compounding. Our strand dies are manufactured from alloy or stainless steel, with our larger strand dies incorporating restrictor bar technology. All flow surfaces are high finish polished and hard chrome plated if required.
